HBFF and B-Side Entertainment
This year Hollywood Black Film Festival has partnered with B-Side Entertainment to create an interactive program guide and screening schedule. Now audience members can create customized calendars, rate and review the films they see, and learn more about movies they might want to see. Each film has it's own page where filmmakers can upload photos, a trailer, and even keep a blog.
Please support our film by going to our page from time to time to check out the blog and see what people are saying about the film. Obviously there won't be any reviews until after the film has screened but you can help create buzz my making comments or putting the film on your calendar. Miss Thang at HBFF

Chicago to Norway to LA
Now that "Miss Thang" has been accepted into a major film festival, we are in a rush to get it finished. Our editor, Sue Lawson, and assistant editor, Bruce Himmelblau, have finished the picture edit of the film. Now our Sound Editor and Designer, Jorn Lavoll is rushing to get the sound together before the festival next month.
Jorn is a Norwegian composer and sound editor living and working in Bergen, Norway. I found him through an ad I placed online. He was the most qualified as well as most enthusiastic person to apply for the job. Thanks to internet technology today, Sue and Jorn are sending large audio and video files back and forth through the net. From Chicago to Norway!
Once the sound is finished the project will be sent to me in LA for color correction and final output. Then it will be ready to screen in Beverly Hills on June 6 at The Hollywood Black Film Festival.

Rough Cut and Pickups
Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a long while. Our editor Sue Lawson has been working really hard on editing the film and we recently sent a really really rough cut of the film off to Sundance.
Good News! Dormeshia was in Chicago this past weekend, October 6-8, for the Madd Rhythms Tap Summit http://www.maddrhythms.com. We were able to shoot 14 of the scenes we missed during the original production, including the infamous DJ equipment stealing scene. I saw the footage yesterday and it looks great!
We are now working to incorporate the new scenes into the rough cut for the upcoming Slamdance deadline.
Special thanks to all the crew and actors who came out to help this weekend.
